Chris Stapleton Performing on CBS’ “Late Show with Stephen Colbert”

CBS has confirmed additional entertainers for its upcoming slate of “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” episodes.

Chris Stapleton is one of those additions.

According to the network, the CMA Award-nominated country artist will perform on the September 17 edition of its “Late Show.” The episode will also feature interviews with Naomi Watts and United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon.

While Thursday’s episode will obviously mark Stapleton’s first appearance on Colbert’s talk show, it will not be his first “The Late Show” visit. Stapleton performed on an April edition of “The Late Show with David Letterman.”
