R. City’s “Locked Away” Reaches Pop Radio’s Top 5; Fall Out Boy Goes Top 10

R City [RCA]

Thanks to another strong week-over-week airplay gain, R. City’s “Locked Away (featuring Adam Levine)” surges into the Top 5 on Mediabase’s pop radio airplay chart.

Spun ~12,062 times during the August 30-September 5 tracking week, the song enjoys a three-place rise to #5 on the chart.

This week’s spin count tops last week’s mark by 1,634 plays. That is the greatest spin gain for a song positioned in the Top 10 — and pop radio’s fifth-greatest overall.

“Locked Away” is the week’s only new addition to the Top 10.

One song does, however, make an inaugural appearance inside the Top 10.

Making good on Headline Planet’s forecast, Fall Out Boy’s “Uma Thurman” jumps three places to #8. It received ~10,701 tracking week plays (+1,339).

“Uma Thurman” is the band’s first Top 10 pop hit since “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark.”
