Ratings: FX’s “Tyrant” Falls in Demo, Rises in Viewership for Season Finale

This week’s “Tyrant,” which brought the show’s second season to a close, actually suffered a week-over-week loss in the adults 18-49 demographic.

The episode did, however, enjoy a lift in total viewership.

Tuesday’s season finale scored a 0.39 adults 18-49 rating and drew 1.252 million total viewers. Last week’s episode posted a stronger 0.42 in the adults 18-49 demographic but reached a total audience of 1.232 million.

In addition to besting last week’s episode in total viewership, this week’s “Tyrant” also ranked as the season’s second-most-watched episode. Only the August 11 episode (1.347 million) drew a larger audience.

That fact, unfortunately, also speaks to the low-rated nature of the second season. No first season episode drew fewer than 1.336 million viewers; only one second season episode drew more than 1.252 million.
