“Mr. Robot” Season Finale Postponed Until September 2

Mr. Robot [USA]

Citing a similarity between a scene in the “Mr. Robot” season finale and the WDBJ shooting, USA Network announced that it has postponed tonight’s broadcast.

The final first season “Mr. Robot” episode will instead air at 10PM ET on Wednesday, September 2.

“The previously filmed season finale of Mr. Robot contains a graphic scene similar in nature to today’s tragic events in Virginia,” said USA Network in a statement. “Out of respect to the victims, their families and colleagues, and our viewers, we are postponing tonight’s episode. Our thoughts go out to all those affected during this difficult time.”

WDBJ-TV’s Alison Parker and Adam Ward were fatally shot during a live, Wednesday morning broadcast. Bryce Williams, the shooter, later turned the gun on himself.
