The subject of significant buzz, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats’ “SOB” is also commanding substantial alternative radio airplay.

Spun 357 times during the August 16-22 tracking week (+209), it rockets to #31 on this week’s Mediabase alternative airplay chart.

It was last week’s #48 alternative song.

“SOB” is being supported by the iHeartRadio “On the Verge” program. Under the terms of that program, “SOB” receives guaranteed airplay on the iHeartMedia network of stations.

The song is one of two additions to this week’s alternative radio Top 40.

Vance Joy’s “Fire And The Flood,” the other, enters the mix at #39.

Up five places from last week’s position, “Fire” earns the position on the strength of its 231 tracking week spins (+57).
