Thomas Rhett, Chris Janson Reach Country Radio’s Top 5; Kenny Chesney Enters Top 10

Ruled by Frankie Ballard’s “Young & Crazy,” this week’s Mediabase country radio singles chart features two additions to the Top 5.

Thomas Rhett’s “Crash and Burn” and Chris Janson’s “Buy Me a Boat,” those additions, grab the #4 and #5 spots, respectively. Both rise two places from last week’s positions.

In addition to ranking at #4 and #5 based on Mediabase chart points, the tunes also rank as the fourth- and fifth-most-played and most-heard songs. “Crash and Burn” received ~7,091 spins (+536) and ~48.716 million audience impressions (+4.261 million) during the August 16-22 tracking week. “Buy Me a Boat” garnered ~6,691 (+511) and ~43.624 million (2.800 million).

— Already a Top 10 hit on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, Kenny Chesney’s “Save It for a Rainy Day” reaches the Top 10 on this week’s Mediabase listing. Up two places, it grabs #9 on the latest chart.

“Save It” received ~5,346 weekly plays (#9 | +571) and ~37.362 million weekly audience impressions (#9 | +2.623 million).
