Shinedown’s “Cut the Cord” gained active rock airplay during the August 9-15 tracking week.

Unfortunately for Shinedown, Disturbed’s “The Vengeful One” enjoyed a significantly greater gain. As a result, “The Vengeful One” seizes the top spot on Mediabase’s active rock airplay chart.

“The Vengeful One,” which was #2 on last week’s chart, received 2,125 plays during the aforementioned tracking week. That count bests the previous week’s total by 149.

“Cut the Cord,” which slips to #2 after spending three weeks at #1, scored 2,097 tracking week plays. That reflects a week-over-week gain of 24 spins.

Pop Evil’s “Footsteps” (#3, = | 1,803, +62), Five Finger Death Punch’s “Jekyll and Hyde” (#4, = | 1,662, +76) and Highly Suspect’s “Lydia” (#5, = | 1,638, +55) again complete the Top 5.
