X Ambassadors’ “Renegades” Tops Alternative Radio for 10th Week; Cold War Kids Now Top 5

X Ambassadors [KIDinaKORNER]

While this week’s alternative airplay chart is not without movement inside its Top 5, that movement does not affect the #1 position.

X Ambassadors’ “Renegades” again claims the top spot on the Mediabase alternative airplay listing.

The song, which also holds #2 at Triple A and is concurrently making moves at the hot adult contemporary and pop formats, thus extends its alternative radio reign to ten consecutive weeks.

This week’s victory comes courtesy the song’s ~3,079 tracking week spins. That count trails last week’s total by a mere 41 plays.

The minimal loss keeps “Renegades” at a safe distance from a pair of rising songs. Elle King’s “Ex’s and Oh’s,” which rises two places to #2 this week, received ~2,651 plays during the August 9-15 tracking week (+88). Cold War Kids’ “First,” which jumps three places to #3, earned ~2,645 weekly spins (+297).

Beck’s “Dreams” (#4, -1 | ~2,639, +75) and Mumford & Sons’ “The Wolf” (#5, = | ~2,429, -29) complete the Top 5.
