The Weeknd’s “The Hills,” Disclosure’s “Omen” Enter Pop Radio’s Top 40

The newest addition to rhythmic radio’s Top 40 is the second-highest-charting addition to pop radio’s Top 40.

The Weeknd’s “The Hills,” which claims #8 on this week’s rhythmic airplay chart, rises twelve places to #32 on this week’s Mediabase pop airplay listing. Only Hailee Steinfeld’s “Love Myself,” which rockets to #28, claims a higher inaugural Top 40 position.

“The Hills” received 1,646 spins during the August 9-15 tracking week (+706).

Disclosure’s “Omen (featuring Sam Smith)” also enters the Top 40 this week. Spun 1,431 times during the tracking week (+360), it rises seven places to #34.

As previously reported, Meghan Trainor’s “Like I’m Gonna Lose You (featuring John Legend), A Great Big World’s “Hold Each Other (featuring Futuristic)” and Jess Glynne’s “Hold My Hand” also reached pop’s Top 40.
