Meghan Trainor, A Great Big World, Jess Glynne Reach Pop Radio’s Top 40

Meghan Trainor’s “Like I’m Gonna Lose You (featuring John Legend)” is officially inside the Top 40 at pop radio.

“Like I’m Gonna Lose You,” which is the fourth single from Trainor’s debut album “Title,” claims the #38 position on this week’s Mediabase pop airplay chart. It was last week’s #43 song.

“Lose You” received 1,125 plays during the August 9-15 tracking week. That tally bests last week’s count by 132 plays.

The single has thus far been moving considerably more methodically than Trainor’s previous hits “All About That Bass,” “Lips are Movin” and “Dear Future Husband.” That pace is not, however, the result of listener disinterest. The Mediabase/CMM national callout report confirms a sizzling audience reception to the song.

“Like I’m Gonna Lose You” is one of three additions to this week’s Top 40. A Great Big World’s “Hold Each Other (featuring Futuristic)” and Jess Glynne’s “Hold My Hand” also enter this week.

The former song rises eight places to #39 on the strength of 1,069 weekly plays (+287). The latter moves two places to #40 courtesy its 1,035 weekly spins (+38).
