While its biggest splash came on the streaming front, “Descendants” soundtrack standout “Rotten to the Core” also fared well from a sales standpoint during the July 31-August 6 tracking week.

The track, which is credited to Dove Cameron, Cameron Boyce, Booboo Stewart and Sofia Carson, drove over 38,000 paid US downloads during the official tracking period. That tally earned “Rotten” the #33 position on Billboard’s Digital Songs subchart.

To put that total in perspective, “Rotten” ranked between Luke Bryan’s “Kick the Dust Up” (#32) and Chris Janson’s “Buy Me a Boat” (#34) on this week’s chart.

The song concurrently earned the #20 spot on the Streaming Songs subchart. “Rotten” fell between Demi Lovato’s “Cool for the Summer” (#19) and Walk the Moon’s “Shut Up and Dance” (#21).

“Rotten to the Core” debuted at #38 on the all-encompassing Billboard Hot 100, which accounts for sales, streaming and radio activity.
