Ratings: FX’s “The Strain” Slips Once Again

The good news: FX has renewed “The Strain” for a third season.

The bad news: It continues to lose viewers.

The show’s streak of adults 18-49 and total viewership declines continued this week. Sunday’s episode, which was the fifth of the season, drew a 0.57 adults 18-49 rating with 1.264 million viewers.

Both numbers trail those of last week’s broadcast, which drew a 0.59 with 1.381 million.

While this week’s episode has a partial excuse in the form of the “True Detective” finale, which overlapped with the 10-10:30PM portion, its decline adheres to an ongoing trend.

All five of this season’s episodes drew fewer viewers than their predecessors.
