Nick Jonas’ “Jealous” Earns 3X Platinum Certification

Here is news that will make many fellow pop acts “Jealous” — Nick Jonas’ breakthrough solo single has earned a new multi-platinum certification from the RIAA.

Jonas’ “Jealous,” which reached #1 at pop radio and the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, was officially certified 3x platinum on July 27, 2015. That certification comes less than one year after the song’s initial September 2014 release.

Under the terms of the RIAA’s digital singles program, a 3x certification confirms a US unit total in excess of 3 million. One unit is equal to 1 paid download or 100 streams.

“Jealous” is one of two certified singles from Jonas’ self-titled album. “Chains” is currently platinum.
