iHeart host Jason Derulo [NBC]

The lead single from Jason Derulo’s “Everything is 4” is officially platinum in the United States.

According to the RIAA, Derulo’s “Want to Want Me” earned its platinum certification on July 31, 2015.

Under the terms of the RIAA’s digital singles program, the platinum label signifies a US unit total in excess of 1 million. One unit is equal to a paid download or 100 streams.

Since “Want to Want Me” had not received a certification prior to July 31, it also received a retroactive gold disstinction.
