One Direction Performs New “Drag Me Down” on “Good Morning America” (Watch)

One Direction [ABC]

This past Friday, One Direction released its new single “Drag Me Down.”

The song, which commences the post-Zayn Malik era, set the single-day Spotify record and moved nearly 300,000 copies in its first three days of release.

To celebrate the release — and to generate even more excitement — the group performed the song on Tuesday’s “Good Morning America.” The concert took part in Central Park as part of the show’s “Summer Concert Series” and featured a predictably enthusiastic crowd.

“Drag Me Down” is the lead single from the group’s fifth studio album. It is scheduled for a November release.
