One Direction, Kygo & Conrad, Disclosure & Sam Smith Land At NY’s Z100

New York’s powerhouse pop station Z100 officially added three songs to its rotation this week.

Per Mediabase’s weekly add report, One Direction’s “Drag Me Down,” Kygo’s “Firestone (featuring Conrad)” and Disclosure’s “Omen (featuring Sam Smith)” all won support from New York’s #1 Hit Music Station.

Undoubtedly valuable, the “Drag Me Down” add was not necessarily unpredictable. Z100 is an iHeartMedia station, and iHeartMedia’s entire pop network provided the song with opening day support.

“Omen” did not receive promotional support from iHeartMedia, but it was also expected to gain immediate love from Z100. Sam Smith has become a legitimate music superstar, and his previous Disclosure collaboration “Latch” was a major hit.

The “Firestone” add comes as the song reaches the Top 50 of Mediabase’s pop airplay chart.
