CHVRCHES’ “Leave a Trace” Debuts in Top 20 on Hot Rock, Drives 8K Weekly Sales

The lead single from CHVRCHES’ forthcoming “Every Open Eye” is already the trio’s highest-charting entry on Hot Rock Songs.

“Leave a Trace,” that single, opens at #17 on the chart, which measures songs based on a combination of sales, streaming and radio activity.

In terms of sales, Nielsen Music says the song drove approximately 8,000 paid US downloads during the July 17-23 tracking week. Since the song officially arrived on July 16, some of its initial sales are not reflected in that weekly total.

Prior to “Leave a Trace,” CHRVCHES’ Hot Rock Songs high came courtesy “Dead Air.” That song, which appeared on the Lorde-curated “The Hunger Games: Mocking Jay – Part 1” soundtrack, peaked at #24.

The band’s breakthrough single “The Mother We Share” went as high as #30 on the chart.
