Ratings: “I Am Cait” Wins Night But Posts Unspectacular Marks

While the series premiere of E’s “I Am Cait” performed comparatively well and was cable’s top Sunday program in adults 18-49, it was not the ratings behemoth many anticipated.

The episode drew a 1.15 adults 18-49 rating with 2.732 million total viewers.

The viewership total markedly exceeds that drawn by a typical (recent) “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” episode, but the adults 18-49 rating is not particularly special by the standards of the show.

The “About Bruce – Part One” episode of “Keeping Up,” moreover, outdrew this week’s “I Am Cait” premiere in both adults 18-49 and total viewers.

Since “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” is a big hit, the numbers are objectively strong by cable and E! standards. But when one considers the extraordinary hype and presumed drawing power associated with an introduction to Caitlyn Jenner, he will doubtfully find himself dazzled by this performance.

— “I Am Cait” led into “Stewarts & Hamiltons,” which delivered a 0.37 with 938,000 total viwers.
