Luke Bryan’s “Kick the Dust Up” Claims #1 on Hot Country Songs

Luke Bryan | UMG Nashville

While not yet the #1 song at country radio, Luke Bryan’s “Kick the Dust Up” is the genre’s hottest overall song.

The song, which is the lead single from Bryan’s forthcoming “Kill the Lights,” officially claims #1 on Billboard’s all-encompassing Hot Country Songs chart. It was #2 last week.

In getting to the top, it brings an end to the thirteen-week reign of Little Big Town’s “Girl Crush.”

“Kick the Dust Up” is the ninth solo Luke Bryan song (and 10th including his “This is How We Roll” collaboration with Florida Georgia Line) to reach #1 on Hot Country Songs, which formerly focused exclusively on airplay and now measures combined radio, sales and streaming activity.

In conjunction with its #1 Hot Country Songs position, “Kick the Dust Up” claims the #1 spot on Country Digital Songs, the #4 spot on Country Airplay and the #4 spot on Country Streaming Songs.
