Imagine Dragons’ “Shots,” Demi Lovato’s “Summer” Enter Top 20 at Hot AC Radio

Done gaining at its core alternative format, Imagine Dragons’ “Shots” continues to rise at hot adult contemporary.

This week, it joins the Top 20 of Mediabase’s hot adult contemporary airplay chart.

Spun ~1,679 times during the July 19-25 tracking week (+190), “Shots” rises four places to a new peak of #17 on the Hot AC airplay listing.

Cut from “Smoke + Mirrors,” “Shots” is the official follow-up to Imagine Dragons’ “I Bet My Life.” That song peaked within the Top 10 at Hot AC.

Also new to Hot AC’s weekly Top 20 is Demi Lovato’s “Cool for the Summer.” Up eight places, the song grabs #20 on this week’s edition of the chart.

It received ~1,513 tracking week spins (+513).

“Cool for the Summer” concurrently holds the #13 position at pop radio and is gaining steam at rhythmic.
