Selena Gomez’ “Good For You,” Demi Lovato’s “Cool for the Summer” Enter Pop’s Top 15

Perceived competition between the two acts will often put their respective fanbases at odds.

This week, however, those fanbases can join in celebration of a new accomplishment on the pop radio airplay chart.

Selena Gomez’ “Good For You (featuring A$AP Rocky)” and Demi Lovato’s “Cool for the Summer” both enter the Top 15 on this week’s edition of the Mediabase chart.

Up three places, “Good For You” reaches #13 on the strength of its ~7,858 tracking week spins (+1,264). The song is Gomez’ fourth straight release (as a lead artist) to reach the chart’s Top 15. She also entered that portion of the chart as a featured artist on Zedd’s 2015 single “I Want You to Know.”

Thanks to the pop format’s second-greatest weekly airplay gain, Lovato’s “Cool for the Summer” also enters the Top 15 this week. Spun ~7,553 times during the July 12-18 tracking week (+2,157), “Cool” rises six places to a new peak of #14. It is Lovato’s third straight song to enter the pop format’s Top 15.
