Hot 100: OMI’s “Cheerleader” Reaches #1 on the Hot 100, Tops “See You Again”

See ya, “See You Again.” There is a new #1 on the all-encompassing Billboard Hot 100.

Thanks to the activity it generated during the extended tracking week, OMI’s “Cheerleader” claims the top spot on this week’s edition of the chart.

It was #2 on the previous Hot 100.

In seizing the throne, “Cheerleader” brings an end to the reign of Wiz Khalifa’s “See You Again (featuring Charlie Puth).” The “Furious 7” soundtrack cut spent 12 non-consecutive weeks atop the chart.

This week’s Hot 100 incorporates sales data the eleven-day period between June 29 and July 9. Its streaming data is from the seven-day peroid between July 3 and 9, while the radio data accounts for the seven-day window between July 6 and July 12. Billboard has yet to confirm whether the radio and streaming data was overweighted.

According to Nielsen Music, “Cheerleader” topped the Digital Songs subchart with 276,000 sales in the eleven-day window. It also claims #3 on Streaming Songs (14.4 million) and #6 on Radio Songs (109 million).
