Demi Lovato’s “Cool for the Summer” Reaches Top 20 as Pop’s Greatest Gainer

Despite needing to compensate for last week’s iHeartRadio-aided launch, Demi Lovato’s “Cool for the Summer” still managed a massive week-over-week pop radio airplay gain.

In addition to thrusting the song into the Top 20, the massive increase establishes “Cool for the Summer” as the week’s greatest gainer.

Spun 5,396 times during the July 5-11 tracking week, Lovato’s “Summer” rises five places to #20 on this week’s Mediabase pop airplay chart.

This week’s total bests last week’s total, which was good enough for a #25 debut, by a format-leading 2,556 spins.

“Cool for the Summer” is the week’s only addition to the Top 20.
