X Ambassadors’ “VHS” Debuts with 24.6K First Week Sales, Lands in Top 10

X Ambassadors (NBC)

Responsible for alternative radio’s reigning #1 song in “Renegades,” X Ambassadors’ “VHS” itself debuts as a top ten album.

According to Nielsen Music, the buzzworthy band’s “VHS” moved 24,646 pure copies during the June 29-July 5 sales week. That earns it the #8 spot on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart.

It was the week’s fifth-best-selling new release.

With Track Equivalent Albums (10 single sales = 1 album sale) and Streaming Equivalent Albums (1500 single streams = 1 album sale) included, “VHS” posted an opening week consumption total of 30,000 album equivalent units.

It debuts at #7 on the revamped, consumption-oriented Billboard 200.
