Ratings: “Ballers” Falls Again; “True Detective,” “The Brink” Also Decline

For the second straight week, HBO’s “Ballers” suffered a ratings decline.

It was not alone in its downturn; lead-in “True Detective” and lead-out “The Brink” also endured week-over-week losses.

After slipping to a 0.89 adults 18-49 rating with 1.846 million total viewers last week, “Ballers” settled for a 0.78 with 1.702 million this week.

Also down in both columns, “True Detective” posted a 1.15 with 2.622 million viewers. Last week’s episode mustered a 1.33 with 3.048 million viewers.

Quirky “The Brink,” meanwhile, slipped from a 0.55 rating with 1.263 million viewers to a 0.51 with 1.166 million.

While the early portion of “True Detective” aired against FOX’s post-World Cup coverage, “Ballers” and “The Brink” did not face special competition this week. Last week’s episodes, which posted stronger numbers, aired opposite the BET Awards.
