Walk the Moon’s “Shut Up and Dance” Reclaims #1 at Hot AC; Maroon 5 Goes Top 10

Two weeks ago, Walk the Moon’s hot adult contemporary radio smash “Shut Up and Dance” ceded its #1 position to Andy Grammer’s “Honey, I’m Good.”

This week, it reclaims the throne.

While it suffered a week-over-week airplay loss, its decline was not as great as that endured by Grammer’s tune. As a result, it rises back to #1.

“Shut Up and Dance” received 6,707 plays during the June 28-July 4 tracking week (-102). “Honey,” which slips to #2, received 6,488 plays (-345).

Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” (#3, 6,234 plays, +437), Jason Derulo’s “Want to Want Me” (#4, 6,225 plays, +84) and Wiz Khalifa’s “See You Again (featuring Charlie Puth)” (#5, 6,083 plays, +209) form the balance of the Top 5. While their positions are shuffled, all three appeared in last week’s top five.

The Top 10 does, however, welcome a new addition. Maroon 5’s “This Summer’s Gonna Hurt,” that song, rises four places to a new peak of #7. It received 3,875 weekly plays (+133).
