USA Network’s “Suits” Renewed for a 16-Episode Sixth Season

Just prior to Wednesday’s “Suits” episode, which was the second of the fifth season, USA Network confirmed that it has ordered a sixth season of the legal drama.

Expected to begin in the summer of 2016, the sixth season will consist of sixteen episodes.

“SUITS has set the bar high in every way and continues to be a strong performer and marquee property for USA,” says USA Network’s Chris McCumber. “From the incredible on-screen performances and brilliant writing to the aspirational lifestyle portrayed, we look forward to continuing to bring viewers into the world of SUITS every week.”

NBCUniversal’s Jeff Wachtel adds, “Aaron Korsh has some great surprises for the audience at the end of Season 5 that should really set future seasons on an exciting new course.”

According to live+same-day data, last week’s “Suits” premiere drew a 0.61 adults 18-49 rating with 2.129 million viewers. While down sharply from the show’s peak levels, the numbers are solid by the network’s standards.
