Kacey Musgraves’ “Pageant Material” Debuts with 54.8K Sales

While Kacey Musgraves’ “Pageant Material” debuts at a lower overall sales chart position than 2013 predecessor “Same Trailer Different Park,” it claims a higher first week sales figure.

According to Nielsen Music, Musgraves’ critically acclaimed album moved 54,752 copies during its first week of release. That positions “Pageant Material” at #1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and #3 on the all-genre Top Album Sales Chart.

The aforementioned “Same Trailer Different Park,” which moved 42,000 copies in its inaugural release, landed at #1 on the country sales chart but #2 on the overall chart.

With Track Equivalent Albums and Streaming Equivalent Albums included, Kacey Musgraves’ “Pageant Material” boasted a first week consumption total of 60,000 units. That earned it #3 on the revamped Billboard 200.

Breaking Benjamin’s new “Dark Before Dawn” and Tori Kelly’s new “Unbreakable Smile” land higher on both charts.
