Ratings: MTV’s “Teen Wolf” Sets New Low for a Season Premiere

Monday’s “Teen Wolf” was not the least-watched episode in the history of the series.

It was, however, the worst-performing season premiere.

The episode, which kicked off the show’s fifth season, delivered a 0.6 adults 18-49 rating with 1.527 million viewers. Both numbers are the lowest ever achieved by a season opener.

Last season’s “Teen Wolf” opened with a considerably stronger 0.9 adults 18-49 rating and 2.184 million viewers.

Monday’s fifth season premiere numbers came closer to–but still trailed–the fourth season finale’s marks. That episode drew a 0.8 rating with 1.543 million viewers.

To help launch “Scream,” MTV will air a special episode of “Teen Wolf” Tuesday night.
