Kelsea Ballerini’s New Single “Dibs” Impacts Country Radio on July 20

Kelsea Ballerini [Disney]

Earlier this month, Kelsea Ballerini became the first solo female artist since Carrie Underwood to send a debut single to the top of the country airplay chart.

In three weeks, Ballerini will officially begin her campaign for a second #1 hit.

“Dibs,” the follow-up to Ballerini’s chart-topping breakthrough “Love Me Like You Mean It,” is slated to formally impact the country radio format on July 20.

Featured on Ballerini’s self-titled EP and on her debut LP “The First Time,” “Dibs” had long been pegged as the singer-songwriter’s second single. The impact date, which first appeared in the Country Aircheck publication, provides an additional layer of confirmation.

Unwilling to wait until its official impact, a handful of stations have already begun supporting “Dibs.” Sirius XM’s The Highway has given the song ample exposure over the past few months, while Long Island’s My Country 96.1, Nashville’s The Big 98 and Minneapolis’ Buzz’n Country officially added the song to their playlists this week.

My Country 96.1 played the song fifteen times over the trailing seven days.
