Adam Lambert’s “Ghost Town,” Hilary Duff’s “Sparks” Arrive on Hot 100

Adam Lambert [ABC]

Adam Lambert’s “The Original High” and Hilary Duff’s “Breathe In. Breathe Out.” both entered the market last week.

In conjunction with those releases — and the national promotion that accompanied those releases — the current singles from both albums generated enough activity to debut on the Billboard Hot 100.

Lambert’s “Ghost Town” arrives at #73 on this week’s edition of the chart. The track, which is the week’s highest-charting debut, becomes Lambert’s first Hot 100 entry since his “Better Than I Know Myself” peaked at #76. It is highest-charting entry since “If I Had You” (#30).

Duff, meanwhile, enters the chart courtesy “Sparks.” The song makes its inaugural Hot 100 appearance at #93.

The singer/actress’ previous Hot 100 appearance came courtesy “Chasing the Sun” (#79 peak), which appears on the Fanjoy bonus edition of “Breathe In. Breathe Out.”
