Canaan Smith’s “Love You Like That” Certified Gold in the US

Kelsea Ballerini’s “Love Me You Like You Mean It” is set to claim #1 at country radio, but it is not the best selling debut single on the country airplay chart.

That honor instead belongs to Canaan Smith’s “Love You Like That,” which has been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.

The digital gold certification confirms that “Love You Like That” has shifted at least 500,000 units in the United States. While a unit can also be equivalent to 100 streams, Smith’s tune has driven in excess of 500,000 paid downloads.

According to Nielsen Music, the album’s sales total was approximately 516,000 when the June 8-14 tracking week concluded.

“Love You Like That,” which is currently sitting within the Top 10 on the country airplay chart, is cut from Smith’s album “Bronco.” The eleven-song release carries a June 23 release date.
