Natalie La Rose’s “Somebody” Goes Platinum in the United States

As Natalie La Rose turns her attention to new single “Around the World (featuring Fetty Wap),” she can celebrate an impressive achievement for her debut release.

According to the RIAA, La Rose’s “Somebody (featuring Jeremih)” received a platinum certification under the RIAA’s Digital Singles program.

The certification, which confirms that “Somebody” has moved at least 1 million units in the United States, was issued on May 29.

Under the terms of the digital program, a unit is equal to either 1 paid download or 100 streams.

Nielsen Music says the song’s pure sales total exceeds 900,000. It should cross the 1 million mark within the next few weeks.

In addition to receiving its platinum certification, “Somebody” was also retroactively certified gold on May 29.
