Ratings: 69th Annual Tony Awards Fall From Last Year’s Show

CBS’ annual Tony Awards broadcast suffered year-over-year declines in adults 18-49 and total viewership.

According to fast national data, the 69th Annual edition of the theater awards show averaged 0.9 adults 18-49 rating with 6.35 million viewers from 8-11PM. The 2014 show delivered a 1.2 adults 18-49 rating with 7.05 million viewers in the final report.

This year’s broadcast lost viewers with each passing hour. The 8PM hour drew a 1.0 rating with 7.03 million viewers, while the subsequent hours delivered a 1.0 with 6.34 million and a 0.8 with 5.69 million.

CBS came in second among the major broadcast networks. ABC’s NBA Finals coverage dominated the night.
