Kelsea Ballerini’s “Love Me Like You Mean It” Reaches Top 5 at Country Radio

Kelsea Ballerini (Disney)

This past Wednesday, Kelsea Ballerini learned that her debut studio album “The First Time” opened within the Top 5 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart.

Sunday, the singer-songwriter scored a top five position on the Mediabase country radio singles chart — for the first time.

Up three places, Ballerini’s debut single “Love Me Like You Mean It” grabs the #5 spot on this week’s Mediabase chart.

The week’s #5 song in terms of Mediabase chart points, “Love Me” was also the country format’s fifth-most-played song. Ballerini’s hit received ~6,321 spins during the May 24-30 tracking week.

That count bests last week’s tally by a healthy 755 spins. Among country songs, only Jake Owen’s new “Real Life,” which received the majority of its airplay courtesy an opening day promotion, enjoyed a bigger week-over-week lift (~+1255 spins).

A Thousand Horses’ “Smoke” leads this week’s Mediabase chart. Florida Georgia Line’s “Sippin’ on Fire” (#2), Billy Currington’s “Don’t It” (#3) and Kenny Chesney’s “Wild Child (featuring Grace Potter)” (#4) also appear inside this week’s Top 5.
