For the first time since 2012, David Guetta is positioned within the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100.
His “Hey Mama,” which credits Nicki Minaj, Afrojack and now Bebe Rexha as featured artists, rises three places to a new peak of #8 on the chart.
Guetta last reached the top ten with 2012’s “Titanium (featuring Sia).” That song peaked at #7.
In all, “Hey Mama” is Guetta’s sixth song to reach the Hot 100’s top ten. It meanwhile represents Rexha’s first top ten hit, Afrojack’s second (after Pitbull’s “Give Me Everything”) and Minaj’s twelfth.
In conjunction with its rise on the overall Hot 100, “Hey Mama” rises to #9 on the Radio Songs subchart (74 million impressions) and #11 on Streaming Songs (7 million streams). While it slips to #7 on Digital Songs, its weekly sales total of 112,000 bests that of last week by 13%.
— In addition to reaching #8 on the Hot 100, “Hey Mama” interestingly reaches #8 (+4) on the Pop Songs and Rhythmic Songs (#5) airplay charts. Its #8 position on Pop Songs comes courtesy its 8,874 tracking week spins. It earns #8 at Rhythmic on the strength of 2,666 weekly plays.
