X Ambassadors’ “Renegades” Named iHeartRadio “On the Verge” Song

X Ambassadors’ “Renegades,” the song at the center of a six-month, $65 million Jeep campaign, is the latest selection for the iHeartRadio “On the Verge” program.

iHeartMedia confirmed the news early Monday morning.

Responsible for thrusting songs like Milky Chance’s “Stolen Dance” and Vance Joy’s “Riptide” onto the radar, the “On the Verge” program provides songs with guaranteed airplay support from iHeartMedia stations. It also includes a branding campaign across the song’s digital channels.

Certain to help “Renegades” surge up the alternative airplay chart, the program comes on the heels of the song’s official ascent into the format’s Top 40. Per Mediabase, “Renegades” ranked as alternative’s #36 song for the week ending April 25 despite not yet making its official impact.
