The Weeknd’s “Earned It” Claims #1 at Rhythmic, Urban, Hits New Pop Radio Peak

The Weeknd | ABC

Once again the leader at rhythmic radio, The Weeknd’s smash “Earned It” earns the #1 position at another radio format this week.

“Earned It” is now the top song at urban radio.

Set to emerge Sunday evening, Mediabase’s official airplay chart will confirm a weekly urban radio spin count of approximately 4,081. That will be enough to thrust “Earned It” to the format’s airplay summit.

Fetty Wap’s “Trap Queen,” which previously led the urban airplay chart, slips to #2 this week. It received approximately 4,035 spins during the April 19-25 tracking week.

Despite slightly losing airplay this week, “Earned It” remains a clear #1 at rhythmic radio. Its spin count of approximately 6,934 carries a significant advantage over ~5,703 weekly sum posted by Natalie La Rose’s #2 “Somebody (featuring Jeremih).”

“Earned It” will also claim new peak positions at pop, hot adult contemporary and adult contemporary radio.

Now #3 at pop radio (~16,022), the “50 Shades of Grey” single will land inside the top 15 at Hot AC (~2,367) and top 40 at AC (~58).
