Ratings: FX’s “The Americans” Slips as Season 3 Nears Finale

Wednesday’s “The Americans,” which was the penultimate installment of the show’s third season, endured week-over-week declines in adults 18-49 and total viewership.

Entitled “I Am Abassin Zadran,” this week’s episode drew a 0.27 adults 18-49 rating with 975,000 viewers.

While not the worst performance of the season, it did trail last week’s episode in both columns. The April 8 “Americans” drew a 0.35 adults 18-49 rating with 1.04 million viewers.

It also trails the corresponding season two installment, which delivered a 0.4 adults 18-49 rating with 1.269 million viewers on May 14, 2014.

Wednesday’s “Americans” was the season’s seventh to draw fewer than one million viewers for its initial broadcast.

Despite the modest ratings, the critically acclaimed drama has been renewed for a fourth season. The third season concludes on April 22.
