While last week’s Top 20 “The Voice” playoff round failed to produce an entry on this week’s Billboard Hot 100, it did yield a representative on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart.
Sawyer Fredericks’ “Trouble,” that song, grabs the #12 position on the listing.
Published weekly, “Bubbling Under” features the top songs that have yet to reach the actual Billboard Hot 100.
Because the nature of “The Voice” effectively assures “Trouble” will never enjoy a sales week as strong as this past one, the recording is not expected to ever reach the actual Hot 100. As the only weekly “The Voice” recording to even make the “Bubbling Under” chart, it still deserves credit for a solid weekly performance.
In addition to landing at #12 on “Bubbling Under,” “Trouble” grabs the #39 position on the Digital Songs (digital single sales) subchart. It is the only “Voice” representative on that listing.
Still alive in the competition, Fredericks competes on behalf of Team Pharrell.
