The Weeknd’s “Earned It” Becomes One of Pop’s 10 Most Played Songs

The Weeknd | ABC

For The Weeknd’s “Earned It,” the good news keeps on coming.

The week that brought the reveal that “Earned It” reached the Top 5 of the Billboard Hot 100 and crossed the one million sales mark now provides the news that the song is one of the ten most played songs at pop radio.

According to Mediabase, The Weeknd’s “50 Shades of Grey” single received 8,652 spins between March 27 and April 2. And insofar as it is rising rapidly–it will almost certainly repeat as the week’s greatest airplay gainer–it will have no trouble retaining its position through the release of Mediabase’s official airplay chart on Sunday.

The Weeknd previously reached pop radio’s top ten as part of the “Love Me Harder” duet with Ariana Grande.
