Years & Years’ “King” Impacts US Pop Radio on April 21

Years & Years’ debut studio album “Communion” will officially arrive on June 22.

Two months earlier, a Years & Years single will officially go for US pop radio adds.

Interscope’s radio promotions website confirms that “King,” which is cut from the aforementioned “Communion,” will formally impact the pop radio format on April 21.

The confirmed US pop radio push is the first of its kind for the trio, which has thus far relied on critical buzz, fan enthusiasm and stellar international sales to make its mark on the music industry.

That mark is far from insignificant. The official “King” video, which was released January 19 and embedded below, boasts a few count in excess of 10 million.

“King” is one of several buzzworthy releases slated for an Interscope push this spring. The label’s radio team also confirms forthcoming pushes for Rozzi Crane’s “Psycho” (5/5) and Jason French’s “You Just Want My Money” (5/19).
