Meghan Trainor’s “Dear Future Husband” Surges on Pop Airplay Chart

Meghan Trainor | Dear Future Husband

It is too early to declare Meghan Trainor’s “Dear Future Husband” a surefire smash, but its early performance is definitely encouraging.

The song, which impacted as pop’s second-most added song last week, is already up to #41 on Mediabase’s rolling pop radio airplay chart. “DFH” earns that position on the strength of the 1,073 spins it received during the week between March 16 and 22.

That total bests the previous week’s count by 1,001. Only six pop songs enjoyed a more significant week-over-week gain.

That rapid growth poises “Dear Future Husband” for imminent entry into the format’s top 40.

Cut from Trainor’s debut album “Title,” “Dear Future Husband” follows previous singles “All About That Bass” and “Lips are Movin.” The former reached #1 at pop radio, while the latter peaked inside the Top 5.
