Country Airplay: FGL’s “Sippin’ on Fire” Enters Top 20; Canaan Smith Goes Top 25

Florida Georgia Line’s latest single is already a top 20 hit on the Billboard Country Airplay chart.

“Sippin’ on Fire,” that single, rises four places to a new peak of #19 on this week’s chart. It earns that position thanks to its 14.409 million weekly audience impressions.

Indicative of the song’s rapid rise, that impression count bests last week’s total by a healthy 3.021 million. Only Cole Swindell’s #1 “Ain’t Worth the Whiskey” (+4.588 million), Sam Hunt’s #5 “Take Your Time” (+3.778 million) and Zac Brown Band’s #3 “Homegrown” (+3.622 million) enjoyed greater week-over-week gains.

Cut from the duo’s “Anything Goes,” “Sippin'” is the follow-up to #1 hit “Sun Daze.” That single followed the chart-topping “Dirt.”

— Also on the rise this week is Canaan Smith’s “Love You Like That.” Now in its 33rd week on the chart, the enduring single climbs two places to a new peak of #24. It received 11.291 million weekly impressions (+1.295 million).

— Movers outside the top 25:

Brantley Gilbert’s “One Hell of an Amen” jumps two places to a new high of #30.

Luke Bryan’s “Games” reaches #40 thanks to a six position gain.
