Ratings: A&E’s “Bates Motel,” “The Returned” Fall This Week

A&E dramas “Bates Motel” and “The Returned” both suffered declines this week.

“Bates,” which last week commenced its third season on a modest note, delivered one of its worst performances on record this week.

Monday’s episode drew a 0.8 adults 18-49 rating with 1.91 million viewers.

While not a series low performance, it was definitely not a strong one. And it was one of only two “Bates” performances to ever include a viewership total beneath 2 million.

Last week’s “Bates” premiere drew a 0.9 rating with 2.14 million viewers.

The second episode of new series “The Returned,” which did not open impressively last week, endured an even more notable decline than this week’s “Bates.”

This week’s “The Returned” drew a 0.4 adults 18-49 rating with 1.08 million viewers. Last week’s series premiere scored a 0.6 with 1.54 million.
