Update: Kacey Musgraves’ new single “Biscuits” won support from 39 monitored country radio stations in conjunction with this week’s official impact. Per Mediabase, that count positions Musgraves’ track as the format’s most added song.

With its pre-impact pickups included, “Biscuits” presently possesses support from 56 monitored Mediabase stations.

Close behind on this week’s add board was Drake White’s “It Feels Good.” The song scored adds from 36 monitored stations this week.

Florida Georgia Line’s “Sippin’ on Fire” (21 adds, 3rd-most added), Eric Church’s “Like a Wrecking Ball” (18 adds, 4th-most added), Billy Currington’s “Don’t It” (13 adds, 5th-most added, tie), Eli Young Band’s “Turn it On” (13 adds, 5th-most added, tie), Maddie & Tae’s “Fly” (13 adds, 5th-most added, tie) and Striking Matches’ “Hanging on a Lie” (13 adds, 5th-most added, tie) also clicked with programmers this week.

Whether “Biscuits” will be the song that transforms Kacey Musgraves into a country radio star remains to be seen, but it is definitely not being ignored by programmers.

After registering as one of the format’s ten most added songs last week, “Biscuits” claims the most added distinction this week.

According to Mediabase, “Biscuits” received 39 monitored adds in conjunction with its official impact.

Not monstrous, the total is solid enough to communicate cautious optimism about the song’s prospects. Musgraves’ new song is absolutely on the radar, and her support base is absolutely coming together.
