Hot 100: Carly Rae Jepsen’s “I Really Like You” Debuts at #48

For only the third time in her career–and the second in a solo capacity–Carly Rae Jepsen has a song in the Top 50.

The pop artist’s “I Really Like You” debuts at #48 on this week’s Billboard Hot 100. While that position might not befit the song’s hype or aggressive launch campaign, it represents one of her best chart rankings nonetheless.

Prior to “I Really Like You,” Carly Rae Jepsen had appeared on two Top 50 hits: her multi-week #1 “Call Me Maybe” and her #8 “Good Time” duet with Owl City.

Her other chart appearances–“This Kiss” (#86), “Beautiful” (#87) and “Tonight I’m Getting Over You” (#90)–were near the bottom of the listing.

— In addition to debuting on the all-encompassing Hot 100, “I Really Like You” starts at #31 on Digital Songs and #33 on Streaming Songs.
