Nate Ruess’ “Nothing Without Love” is Once Again Hot AC’s Most Added Song

Nate Ruess might be “Nothing Without Love,” but he is getting it from hot adult contemporary programmers.

For the second consecutive week, the fun. frontman’s solo single ranks as the Hot AC radio format’s most added song.

According to Mediabase, 13 monitored Hot AC stations added the song this week. That wave of support will help the song, which is already the format’s 32nd-most played, continue soaring up the airplay chart.

One Direction’s “Night Changes” and Rachel Platten’s “Fight Song” share the week’s second-most added distinction. Each song won support from 10 monitored stations.

1D’s single is presently #21 on the rolling Hot AC airplay chart, while Platten’s “Fight Song” is due to imminently reach the Top 40. It is currently #41.

Echosmith’s “Bright” follows as fourth-most added with 9 monitored adds. Ariana Grande’s “One Last Time,” Jacquie Lee’s “Tears Fall” and Sam Smith’s “Lay Me Down” then tie for fifth-most added with 8 pickups each.

Other popular options this week: Lilly Wood & Robin Schulz’ “Prayer in C” (7 monitored adds, 8th-most added), Walk the Moon’s “Shut Up and Dance” (7 monitored adds, 8th-most added), Andy Grammer’s “Honey, I’m Good” (6 monitored adds, 10th-most added) and Life of Dillon’s “Overload” (6 monitored adds, 10th-most added).
