Empire’s “Good Enough” Goes Top 50 at Urban Radio

The standout song from the “Empire” pilot has a presence at urban radio.

“Good Enough,” which is credited to Empire Cast featuring Jussie Smollett, claims #50 on the official edition of Mediabase’s urban radio airplay chart. Up two spots from its previous position, the song commanded 434 spins during the March 1-7 tracking week.

While the song does not appear to have enough radio momentum to transform into a major hit (its spin total increased by a modest 80 last week), its presence in the Top 50 is yet another achievement for FOX’s juggernaut new drama.

In addition to enjoying eight consecutive weeks of viewership growth, “Empire” has also spurred two hits on the Billboard Hot 100 (“Keep Your Money” and “You’re So Beautiful”). That number will become three this week when “Conqueror,” which spent several days in the Top 10 on iTunes, arrives on the all-encompassing listing.
