George Ezra’s “Budapest” Goes Top 10 at Alternative, Top 20 at Hot AC

George Ezra’s breakthrough “Budapest” crosses checkpoints at two key radio formats this week.

The song, which spent many weeks atop the Triple A airplay chart, enters the top 10 at alternative. It rises three places to #9 on the strength of the 1,655 spins it received during the February 22-28 tracking week.

“Budadpest” meanwhile enters the top 20 at the hot adult contemporary format. Its three place gain to #18 comes courtesy its 1,762 tracking week spins.

Ezra’s track achieves the new alternative and Hot AC milestones just as it begins its run at pop radio. “Budapest” impacted the pop format this past Tuesday.

— Also new to the alternative top ten: Death Cab for Cutie’s “Black Sun” (#10, +1; 1,653 spins)

— Also new to the Hot AC top twenty: Lilly Wood & Robin Schulz’ “Prayer in C” (#19, +3; 1,494 spins)
